BIO

2007:

Bored of writing soundtrack music and wanting to return to a more band based role, multi instrumentalist & producer Matt Warhurst recruited singer Caroline Jones to form what became Sugarblood.

The idea was to blend elements of Electronica & Orchestral sounds with 70s Glam rock & 80's alternative pop.

Two years of writing and recording sessions yielded the songs and initial recordings for an album entitled "I Am Digital"

Unfortunately for the band, a mixture of family commitments and illness meant that the album never surfaced - until now.

2019:

A fully re-energised, Sugarblood are back in business and will release their debut album towards the end of 2020.

The album has mainly been painstakingly pieced back together from old, lost files that have been fully remastered to give the best possible playback quality given the years that have passed.

Four tracks however (Insanity, Happy Twisted. Satellite & Shine) are totally re recorded and showcase a full on improvement over the already fantastic originals.

Sugarblood believe that doing things ourselves in our own way let's us define who we are and what we should sound like.

The duo have forged their own link between synths, lush orchestral sounds, thumping drums and the occasional guitars (why not?).

2020 saw the release of their debut ep "Wunderbar" - the follow up - "Insanity" and the completion of the original debut album, which is scheduled for release before the end of 2020.

Whilst readying the debut album "I Am Digital" for release Sugarblood have also been working hard on a new album that has been recorded for release in mid to late2021 whilst also preparing the live lineup for shows later in 2021.
